Ryan Reynolds reviewed It Ends With Us, a film starring his actress-wife Blake Lively. The premiere of the film was held in New York on Tuesday night and Ryan along with his Deadpool & Wolverine co-star Hugh Jackman joined Blake and the cast of the film. At the premiere, Ryan was asked if he has already watched the film. The actor confirmed he has and shared his review of It Ends With Us.
Speaking with People Magazine, Ryan said, “Yes, I have (seen the film) and Yes, I love it.” It Ends With Us is an adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s novel of the same name. The book has been popular among readers for a while now and many had envisioned that if it gets adapted for the big screen, an actress like Blake Lively should essay the lead role.
Besides extending his support to the film at the premiere, Blake Lively revealed Ryan Reynolds was supportive of It Ends With Us during the making process. She revealed he wrote one of the most iconic scenes in the film. “The iconic rooftop scene, my husband actually wrote it,” she told E!News. “Nobody knows that, but you now,” she added.
“He works on everything I do. I work on everything he does. So his wins, his celebrations are mine and mine are his,” the actress said, who recently appeared as the Lady Deadpool in Ryan’s blockbuster MCU film, Deadpool & Wolverine.
Not only did he become a part of the making process but Ryan also did an epic promotional video for the film. After he wrapped the promotions of Deadpool & Wolverine, Ryan took on the duty to promote It Ends With Us. In a new video he shared on his social media platforms, Ryan Reynolds gatecrashed Blake’s co-star Brandon Sklenar and grilled Blake’s co-star with the help of Ryan’s mother and Hugh Jackman. The awkward interview has now gone viral.
Meanwhile, It Ends With Us releases in India on August 9.
