Karwa Chauth was a significant occasion for many couples in B-town, with numerous pairs participating in the rituals and celebrating together. However, actress Preity Zinta felt the absence of her husband, Gene Goodenough, this year. Although they couldn’t celebrate together, she shared a heartfelt selfie from a previous Karwa Chauth and sent warm wishes to those observing the day.
Preity Zinta graced her fans’ Instagram feeds with love-filled photos from her Karwa Chauth celebrations with hubby Gene Goodenough on Monday. The first image is a selfie of Preity Zinta. She is seen covering her head with a red scarf and carrying the pooja thali. Preity Zinta and her spouse Gene Goodenough pose lovingly for the camera in the second photo. In the caption, she wrote, “Happy Karwa Chauth to all those who celebrate it. #missyou #throwback #Ting.”
Preity Zinta married Gene Goodenough, a financial analyst in the United States, in 2016. They welcomed their twins, Gia and Jai, via surrogacy in 2021.
Earlier this year on Father’s Day, Preity Zinta posted a series of gorgeous photos of her twins and husband Gene Goodenough on Instagram. Gene, Jai, and Gia can be seen going around a zoo in the first photo. Preity Zinta has also posted a throwback photo with her father, Durganand Zinta. The Father’s Day special album was accompanied by a heartfelt note which read, “Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful fathers out there. I’m so proud of my better half for being such an amazing father to our kids. I’m sure he will help raise our kids to be strong and independent, just like my father did I miss you papa today & always. #Happyfathersday #family #Zoo.”
On the professional front, Preity is scheduled to return to the silver screen in Lahore 1947, co-starring Sunny Deol. The actress has finished filming for the project. The film, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan, was officially revealed in October of last year. It will also have prominent performers like Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal and Karan Deol in key parts. Lahore 1947 is expected to hit the theatres on the occasion of Republic Day 2025.
