Telugu star and JSP President Pawan Kalyan, who contested from the Pithapuram Assembly constituency in AP and won, was also present. A clip from the meeting wherein PM Narendra Modi praises the actor-turned-politician is going viral on the internet. Talking about him, the PM said, “Yeh pawan nahi hai. Andhi hai.”

The Karnataka government has banned the release of Annu Kapoor’s film, Hamare Baarah. As reported by the news agency ANI, the film has been banned in the state for two weeks or until further notice. The state government claimed that the decision had been taken after considering requests from several organizations and after watching the trailer. It further said that the film has been banned to avoid communal tension in the state.
