Nafisa Ali took a trip down memory lane and mined a stunning throwback from her archives. She pulled out a rare photograph and decided to share it with her fans and followers on social media. Nafisa, quite popular for her performance in the 2009 film Life in a Metro, revealed in her Instagram post that at all of 17, she took part in the May Queen Ball in Calcutta. As she shared her fond memory of winning the May Queen Ball crown, she penned some details alongside.
The monochromatic picture features a 17-year-old Nafisa wearing a floral swimsuit and standing with a number 7 card in her hand. She is also wearing her hair in a chic ponytail completing her look with a pair of heels. In the caption, she cheekily asked her Instagram followers, “Guess who won?”
For the unversed, Nafisa is a former beauty queen who won the Miss India title in 1976 at age 19. In the same year, she became the second runner-up at Miss International, held in Tokyo, Japan. She was also a national swimming champion from 1972-1974.
Nafisa often shares beautiful throwback pictures of herself on social media. She recently shared a series of photographs of herself at 20.
Last month, the former model and politician had shared a picture featuring two of her favourite people. The photo had Lucky Ali and Arjun Narula, happily posing for the click taken in Goa. Nafisa currently lives with her family in Goa. In 2018, she was diagnosed with peritoneal and ovarian cancer. She battled leucoderma as well, which is a skin disorder. Known for her roles in films such as Junoon, Major Saab, Bewafaa and Yamla Pagla Deewana, her last Bollywood film outing was Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3.
