New Delhi: Imtiaz Ali, whose next directorial venture 'Tamasha' is all set to release this week feels that his stories are always emotional because of his nature. "I am a very sensitive person therefore all my stories are highly emotional."
On being asked why he always adds layers to his protagonist, Ali says, "I feel life is such. You can never remain constant throughout your life. Every feeling you experience either forms a layer on your character or peel it off."
According to 'Highway' director, "All my stories are a tussle between mind and heart because I personally go through it everyday. Life is full of layers and emotions"
All of Imtiaz's movies have had the lead characters discovering themselves in a life-changing journey be it the Goa trip in his directorial debut 'Socha Na Tha' or the entire 'Highway' movie. To this the director says, "When I write the story I never think about such stuff. However, when people point it out I wonder that maybe somewhere in my mind I relate life to a journey. Travel is simile to life for me and that reflects in my films."
Imtiaz Ali was in the capital to promote 'Tamasha' with Ranbir Kpaoor and Deepika Padukone. The film is all set to release on November 27.
