Actresses Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora’s father, Anil Arora, died by suicide on Wednesday afternoon. According to Mumbai Police, he jumped from the balcony of his home in Mumbai’s Bandra. The family, however, is yet to release a statement on the tragic incident. In this incredibly difficult time for Malaika Arora, Amrita Arora and their mother, the Khan family has been a pillar of support. The first to arrive at her parents’ residence was her ex-husband, actor-producer Arbaaz Khan, who was seen speaking with police officials and taking stock of the situation. Soon after, Arbaaz’s parents, Salma Khan and Salim Khan, along with his sister, Alvira Khan, were spotted arriving to offer their condolences to the grieving family.
Later in the afternoon, Salim Khan’s second wife, Helen, also arrived to pay her respects. Despite Malaika and Arbaaz’s divorce, the Khan family’s unwavering presence speaks volumes about the close bond they still share, standing by her during this heartbreaking moment. The entire family has come together to support Malaika, ensuring she doesn’t face this tragedy alone.
Meanwhile, Malaika’s celebrity friends were seen visiting the family after the news broke, with videos of her former partner Arjun Kapoor and others doing the rounds on social media. Apart from him, Shibani Dandekar, Kim Sharma, Aditi Govitrikar and Ritesh Sidhwani also visited her parents’ house to pay their respects.
An official spoke to the media personnel and shared that all angles in the death case are being probed. He also added that the forensic team is currently on the spot and is conducting an investigation. “The body of Mr Anil Arora, who was 62 years old, was found. He used to live on the 6th floor. A detailed investigation is going on. Bandra police and a forensic team are on the spot and we will investigate all the angles. The legal process is being followed,” the police official said and then added, “Whatever SOPs are to be followed, we are doing that. Keeping all the angles in mind, we will investigate.”
