Liam Payne died on Wednesday, October 16, in Argentina’s Buenos Aires. The former One Direction singer tragically fell from the third floor of a hotel which led to his death. He was 31 years old. While the police is investigating his death to find out if it was intentional or accidental, TMZ has reported details of events that allegedly played out in the hours that led up to his death.

According to the international publication, Liam Payne was acting ‘erratic’ at the hotel he was staying at. The report claimed that a little over 5 PM local time, he was spotted in the hotel lobby and behaving ‘erratic.’ The report added that he ‘smashed his laptop’ and was ‘carried back to his room.’

Liam was in Argentina to support his fellow One Direction singer Niall Horan, who was hosting a solo concert there. The singer was spotted in the stands, cheering for Niall. In videos surfaced from the concert, Liam was seen in the stands, grooving to Niall’s songs. They later got together and treated 1D fans with selfies.

Several international artists have expressed their shock and grief over Liam’s sudden death. Charlie Puth took to his Instagram Stories and wrote, “I am in shock right now. Liam was always so kind to me. He was one of the first major artists I got to work with. I cannot believe he is gone…”

The singer also shared a video of the two sharing a laugh, adding the heartfelt caption, “I’m so upset right now, may he rest in peace.” In another story, he included a screenshot of a moment where Payne spoke about how Puth had collaborated with him, further expressing his sorrow with “I am so sorry.” He later posted a photo of them together, captioning it only with their smiles.
