Babil Khan is following in his father Irrfan Khan’s footsteps, striving to reach the top just like him. The young actor frequently reflects on the lessons his dad taught him. Recently, days ahead of Irrfan’s fourth death anniversary, he posted a few photos of the late Bollywood actor along with a heartfelt note, promising never to give up. Babil wrote how his father showed him how to be strong yet kind, to never lose hope, and to stand up for others.
Sharing photos of Irrfan, including one from the sets of his last film, Angrezi Medium, Babil wrote, “You taught me to be a warrior, but engage with love and kindness. You taught me of hope and you taught me to fight for the people. You do not have fans, you have a family, and I promise you baba I will fight for our people and our family till you call upon me. I will not give up. I love you so much.”
This post comes days after Babil’s cryptic note about going back to his father went viral on social media. Babil had shared, then deleted, an alleged post on his Instagram account late on Tuesday, last week. “Sometimes I feel like giving up and going to Baba,” Babil shared in a now-deleted Instagram story, according to an alleged screenshot of his post which has surfaced on Reddit. While the alleged story is no longer visible on his Instagram account, Babil has shared another story on the social media app, wherein he can be heard singing ‘Stay With It’ by Rich.
Babil Khan is steadily becoming a big name in Bollywood, known for his acting prowess, much like his father. Earlier this year, on Irrfan’s birthday, Babil wrote a heartfelt message on Instagram along with an old photo of his parents. He kicked off his Bollywood journey with Qala and recently acted in The Railway Men with other notable actors. Next, he’ll be in Shoojit Sircar’s The Umesh Chronicles with Amitabh Bachchan.
