The next day, after the teacher informed her of his absence, Mala followed Kartik and discovered him playing video games at a parlor. Unable to control her anger, she recalled, “Itna gussa aaya ki kya uthaa ke maar dun, phir maine sandal pehna tha, wahi utara.”

Mala also shared that she was upset when Kartik got his first role for Pyaar Ka Punchnama. She said, “Main chahti thi doctor engineer bane. 8 – 10 saal mein thok peet ke engineering karwai ki degree to le le.” She even revealed, “Main apna poora kaam chhod ke Mumbai mein rehti thi aur isko padhaati thi, ki padhaai poori kar le.”

She further added, that once he went for an exam in their third hand car, in Mumbai’s DY Patil College, and she was explaining all the important parts before the exam. When he came back after his paper after three hours, and his mom asked how was the paper, he shared, “Pyaar ka Punchnama 2 ki script likh ke aaya hun!”

Meanwhile on the work front, Kartik Aaryan is currently basking in the success of his recently released film Chandu Champion. Jointly produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Kabir Khan, the film is getting a lot of positive reviews because of its narrative. The film, directed by Kabir Khan, is based on the life of India’s first Paralympics gold medallist, Murlikant Petkar. News18 Showsha has rated Chandu Champion 4/5. Talking about Kartik’s performance in the movie, our reviewer stated, “Kartik has delivered his career-best performance that aptly conveys his character’s inner turbulence, much of it derived from Murli’s childhood bullying and people’s disbelief in his potential. Moreover, it’s the emotional yet rousing finale that will have audiences cheering for Kartik, the star.”

In an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, Kartik’s trainer said he started a ‘program-based workout’ with Kartik in 2022 for Chandu Champion, and back then, the actor was as heavy as seen in the picture that has garnered a lot of scrutiny. Talking about how Kartik’s physicality had ‘shocked’ him, he said, “In the beginning, I gave him some basic movements like squats, pull-ups and push-ups, and he couldn’t do any of it! I knew that he had gained weight for Freddy but the fact that he couldn’t pull off even these basic movements really shocked me.”
