Junaid Khan Reacts To Aamir Khan's Claim That His Kids Don't Listen: 'He Always Gives Us...'
Junaid Khan opened up about Aamir Khan's claims that his children don't listen to him.

Although Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan, entered the entertainment industry quietly, his recent release, ‘Maharaj’, has catapulted him into the limelight, showcasing his impressive acting skills. Despite the high expectations of being a star kid, Junaid has successfully forged his own path. Junaid and his father share a special bond. While Aamir humorously mentioned on Kapil Sharma’s show that his children often don’t heed his advice, Junaid playfully countered, saying they do listen most of the time. He credits his father for creating an atmosphere of freedom and unwavering support.

In a recent interview with ETimes, Junaid explained, “Dad actually always gives us freedom to be who we are. He appreciates us for that. He’ll never dictate, always suggesting, ‘Look, I feel this, but you should do what you want.’”

Junaid also addressed a story frequently shared by his father, Aamir, about his independence. Aamir often recounts how Junaid once chose to take a state bus from Pondicherry to Bengaluru instead of flying. Junaid explained that while the story is true, it has been slightly “exaggerated.” He chose the bus simply because it was the most efficient option for that particular trip, considering the overall journey time.

In a recent interview with Connect Cine, Junaid Khan offered his perspective on his transportation choices, which his father, Aamir Khan, has often highlighted. Aamir has been vocal about Junaid’s simplicity and reluctance to own a car, recounting numerous occasions where he’s tried to gift Junaid a vehicle, only to be met with resistance.

Junaid clarified that his choices are driven by practicality rather than philosophy. He explained that opting for a flight would have been cumbersome, requiring a two-and-a-half-hour journey to Chennai, plus an additional two hours at the airport. He also pointed out that “Bengaluru’s notorious traffic” would have further extended his travel time.

“Papa makes a big deal out of small things,” Junaid said. “I simply opt for the most efficient mode of transport. Rickshaws often prove to be the quickest way to navigate Mumbai’s traffic and parking woes.”

Junaid Khan is the son of Aamir and his first wife, Reena Dutta. He also has a sister, Ira Khan. The couple got separated in 2002, following which the actor married Kiran Rao in 2005. They divorced in 2021.

Junaid portrayed Karsandas Mulji in the Netflix film Maharaj, causing a stir with his distinctive performance that has earned him widespread acclaim.
