Jitendra Kumar BREAKS Silence on Being the Highest Paid Star of Panchayat 3: 'Nothing Good Comes...'

Bollywood actor Jitendra Kumar finally addressed the claims that he was the highest earning star of Panchayat 3. The series released late last month and Jitendra, aka Jeetu Bhaiya, allegedly drew a salary of Rs 70,000 per episode. In a new interview, Jitendra slammed these reports and said it was unfair to discuss someone’s pay.

“Well, I think discussing somebody’s salary and financial matters is really unfair,” he told Hindustan Times. “Nothing good comes out of the discussion, and it’s not even fruitful. So, I think one should avoid falling for any such rumours, they should not be a thing,” he added.

Last month, ABP Live report claimed Jitendra Kumar was paid Rs 70,000 per episode for his role of Abhishek Tripathi. Given that the third season has eight episode, Jitendra’s estimated salary for this season is Rs 5,60,000. The report added that Neena Gupta followed up in the second spot on the list. Returning to the new season to reprise her role of Manju Devi, it is said that she was paid Rs 50,000 per episode. It translates to an estimate of Rs 4,00,000 for the season.

The third highest paid star of this season is said to be Raghubir Yadav. Reprising his role of Pradhan ji aka Manju Devi’s husband, he has reportedly been paid Rs 40,000 per episode, aka Rs 3,20,000 this season. Chandan Roy, who plays Vikas ji in the new season, charged Rs 20,000 per episode. News18 couldn’t verify the claims at the time of reporting.

Panchayat 3 took off from the events of the Season 2 finale. The now-transferred Sachiv Ji (played by Jitendra Kumar) has relocated to Delhi for his CAT preparation but is mentally thinking about Phulera. On the other hand, we meet the new Panchayat secretary that is replacing him. The new season brings in new twists and turns. Panchayat 3 has received as much love as the other two seasons.
