‘It’s Fun’: George Clooney On Long-Standing Friendship With Brad Pitt
While attending the Venice Film Festival for the premiere of his film Wolfs, George Clooney reflected on his long-standing friendship with Brad Pitt.

George Clooney and Brad Pitt attended the Venice Film Festival for the premiere of Wolfs on September 1. Clooney, 63, reflected on his long-standing friendship with Pitt and in a playful jab said, “There’s nothing good about it. It’s all a disaster.”

On a serious note, Clooney added, “It’s fun to work with people you know well.” Both attended the festival with their significant others, Amal Clooney and Ines de Ramon.

In the latest issue of GQ, Clooney and Pitt opened up about their enduring friendship and the mutual support they offer each other. Clooney told the People, “We’ve been friends for a long time. And it’s fun because we also check in on each other every once in a while, which is an important part of this. Things get complicated in life and you always have to make sure everybody’s okay.”

Pitt praised Clooney’s knack for understanding complex situations, highlighting his exceptional ability to see the bigger picture. He mentioned that he frequently turns to Clooney for advice “on numerous occasions when things get bumpy.”

George also addressed a recent controversy surrounding a New York Times article that claimed he and Pitt were paid “more than $35 million each” for their roles in Wolfs.

Clooney describing the article “interesting,” clarified that the reported figures were “millions and millions and millions of dollars less than what was reported.” He expressed concern that such exaggerated salary reports could set unrealistic expectations.

“I think that’s terrible, it’ll make it impossible to make films,” George said.

Meanwhile, Wolfs received a four-minute standing ovation at the ongoing Venice Film Festival. Following the film’s warm applause, they celebrated by sharing hugs and even doing a little dance as seen in the video shared by Variety. The screening was delayed by over 30 minutes as eager fans gathered to see the stars.
