Hina Khan had quit the role of Komolika in the new version of Kasautii Zindagii Kay to focus on her films and web series roles. The actress went to Cannes with her movie Lines last year and starred in a bunch of web films.
She had shot to fame with her role of Akshara in the show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai for 8 years. Hina is now making a comeback to television with a much-hyped role in the supernatural show Naagin 5. The actress says the show's producer did not give her much of a choice when she offered Hina the role.
"I was focusing more on films and digital shows, and it was all going well. I even had two releases (on OTT platforms) during the lockdown, while talks are on for other projects. But then, Ekta Kapoor came into my life and dropped the bomb. She is not someone who will ask you whether you want to play this role, she just tells you," Hina laughed.
"When she mentioned 'Naagin' to me, I told her that I didn't want to do television, but she said that it’s just for one season and I could do it for some time," Hina told Mumbai Mirror.
Hina took to social media on Thursday to introduce herself as the new naagin on the supernatural drama show, produced by Balaji Telefilms. Hina joined the shooting of Naagin 4 as her yet unnamed character and even filmed with Adaa Khan, Nia Sharma and Surbhi Jyoti.
