Today is Maha Shivratri and the nation is celebrating the day. Devotees are seen visiting the temple to offer prayers. Hema Malini, who is currently BJP’s member of Lok Sabha from Mathura, was present in Ujjain. She also offered prayers at the Iskcon temple ahead of the festival. The video from the temple has gone viral on social media.

In the video, shared by ANI, we can see Hema Malini wearing a mustard colour saree and offering aarti to god. She is surrounded by people. The veteran actress has been grabbing headlines after Esha Deol announced her divorce with Bharat Takhtani.  Hema Malini was speaking to ABP News recently when she opened up about her husband, Dharmendra’s support to her as a politician. “Family is with me all the time,” the veteran actress said and then added, “Because of them, I am able to do it. They are looking after my house in Mumbai, so I am very easily coming to Mathura. I come and go back. Dharam ji is very happy with whatever I am doing, so he supports me and he also comes to Mathura.”

Asked if her daughters, Esha and Ahana are also interested in joining politics, Hema Malini said “If they want.” However, she then revealed that Esha might join politics in the coming years since she looks interested. “Esha is very much inclined for that. She likes to do it. So many be next few years, if she is interested, she will definitely (join politics),” Hema added.

Interestingly, this comes at a time when Esha Deol has also been making headlines because of her divorce from her husband Bharat Takhtani. The two got married in 2012 but announced their separation earlier this month i.e. after 11 years of being together. They issued a joint statement and revealed that they have decided to separate “mutually and amicably”.
