Chace Crawford has opened up about a “secret hookup” with one of his Gossip Girl co-stars. During his appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast on June 12, the actor talked about his experiences as Nate Archibald, the character he played on the teen drama series Gossip Girl, which ran on The CW from 2007 to 2012. Crawford was questioned if he has any romantic relationships with his Gossip Girl co-stars while chatting with host Alex Cooper. And Crawford had some gossip from Gossip Girl!
After a lengthy pause and a sip of his water, Crawford answered the question, telling Cooper, “I would say those things are inevitable.”
He continued by explaining that these things are a part of life while you’re in your 20s. According to him, although most people believe that actors get to play romantic parts, that’s actually the “worst part” since 60 people are watching. He went on to clarify that there was a downtime.
Chace Crawford continued by saying that if you work on a set for 12 to 14 hours a day, you generally get to meet some “really interesting individuals” from all different backgrounds.
But who is the co-star? Leighton Meester, Taylor Momsen, Blake Lively, Michelle Trachtenberg and Jessica Szohr were among the most renowned female characters on the show. He gave no specifics about who he was involved with, but he did give one hint: she had a wicked sense of humour.
The actor went on to say that the “danger” comes if you immediately connect with a sense of humour. “I’m like, ‘Oh, I gotta watch out.'”
Crawford hinted that it might not have been a member of the main cast, despite being reticent about who Gossip Girl co-star he had a romantic relationship with.
He mentioned that many actors and others had been on the show throughout the years. Crawford continued by saying that whereas everyone else in the city had their small social circle, he was “fortunate enough” to have a really strong friend group.
In response to a question about whether he kept any ties between his co-stars a secret, Crawford responded, “Oh yeah. Absolutely.”
But as far as the co-star he “hooked up” with is concerned, it looks like it will be his little big secret. Xoxo, Gossip Girl!
