Anirudh R Turns Devara First Day First Show Into a Concert, Performs In Chennai Theatre; Videos Go Viral

Singer-composer Anirudh Ravichander visited one of the theatres to see the crowd’s reaction to Devara and ended up performing a song or two from the film. Devara released on Friday, September 27. The film stars Jr NTR in the lead. Anirudh has worked his magic on the music front. On Friday, a few videos surfaced online showing Anirudh performing one of the tracks in the theatre.

In a video, Anirudh was seen standing in the middle of the theatre hall and singing a song while fans cheered him on. His energy was contagious and fans were thrilled by the surprise visit. Watch videos below:

In a recent promotional chat, Anirudh opened up about working with Jr NTR. He said, “Devara: Part 1 will definitely be a super hit in Tamil too.” Opening up about working in the Telugu film industry, Anirudh said, “This is only my fourth Telugu film in 12–13 years, but the love I’ve received from Telugu audiences has been immense. After working on the entire film and completing the background score, I know this movie is something special.”

Teasing the film, Anirudh said, “This is a hardcore action film, but it’s also set in a new world with a different geography. Tarak Anna’s mass presence in that world, combined with Siva Sir’s brilliant writing, will make it something memorable.”

Besides Jr NTR, Devara also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. The film marks their Telugu film industry debut. Devara: Part 1 is directed by Koratala Siva and marks Jr NTR’s first solo release in six years. The film has already sold tickets worth Rs 80 crore and is expected record a grand opening day collections.
