On the joyous occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Jigra co-stars Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina took to Instagram live, treating their fans to an endearing display of sibling-like affection. The two actors shared a heartwarming conversation, highlighting the strong bond they’ve developed while working together.
During the live session, Vedang Raina surprised both Alia and their fans by singing a few lines from the classic song “Phoolon Ka Taron Ka…” from the iconic film Hare Rama Hare Krishna. Armed with his guitar, Vedang’s melodious performance was met with smiles and applause from Alia, who was clearly touched by his sweet gesture. The Archies actor, however, admitted afterward that he was incredibly nervous while singing. Alia, ever the supportive co-star, responded playfully, “Clearly you do very well when nervous.” When Vedang suggested that Alia should sing as well, she humorously reminded him that she had done so many times before, adding that this day was all about him. Alia did, however, promise to sing with him during the promotions for their film Jigra.

In a recent interview with GQ, Vedang Raina shared insights into his experience working with Alia Bhatt. He revealed, “She’s the polar opposite of me as an actor, and honestly, it’s so confusing! Watching her, it’s clear she’s brilliant and makes a significant impact. I come in with extensive preparation, setting the mood with my playlist and sitting in a corner, immersing myself in the scene. Then, Alia arrives, and bam! She nails it in the first take, and I’m left amazed.”
Vedang went on to praise Alia’s ability to instantly get into character, calling it a testament to her years of experience and professionalism. He added that working alongside her has been an incredible learning experience, teaching him invaluable lessons that he’s absorbed just by observing her.
Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala, also stars Jason Shah and Aditya Nanda in key roles. The film is co-produced by Alia’s Eternal Sunshine Productions and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
