Akshay Kumar Leaves for Ayodhya to Begin 'Ram Setu' Shoot with Jacqueline and Nushrat, See Pic

Akshay Kumar has headed to Ayodhya for a “mahurat shot” of his highly-anticipated film ‘Ram Setu’ with Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrat Bharucha. The actor took to his Twitter account to share a picture of them posing in front of a private jet. Akshay looked dapper in a black shirt and olive drab trousers. While Jacquline and Nushrat stunned in traditional outfits. Sharing the photo, Akshay wrote, “A special film, a special start…Team #RamSetu off to Ayodhya for the mahurat shot. And so the journey begins. Need special wishes from all you guys ???????? @Asli_Jacqueline @Nushrratt #AbhishekSharma #CapeOfGoodFilms @Abundantia_Ent.”

Meanwhile, streaming platform Amazon Prime Video on Wednesday announced that it will be co-producing ‘Ram Setu’. Directed by Abhishek Sharma of ‘Parmanu’ and ‘Tere Bin Laden’ fame, ‘Ram Setu’ will be produced by Akshay’s Cape of Good Films, Abundantia Entertainment, Lyca Productions and Prime Video.

Akshay Kumar said the story of Ram Setu represents strength, bravery, love, and Indian values that have “formed the moral and social fabric of our great country”.

“‘Ram Setu’ is a bridge between generations past, present and future. I look forward to telling the story of a significant part of Indian heritage, especially for the youth and I am happy that, with Amazon Prime Video, the story will cut across geographies and strike a chord with viewers across the world,” the actor said.
