Rohit Shetty has announced the re-release of Singham on October 18.

Director Rohit Shetty’s much-awaited film Singham Again has been making the headlines. The movie is the fifth installment in Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe and the third part of the hit Singham franchise. Featuring a star-studded cast of Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and his son Tiger Shroff, the upcoming action entertainer will arrive in the theatres this Diwali on November 1. Ahead of Singham Again’s premiere, Rohit Shetty has treated cinema-goers with another special surprise. The director has announced the re-release of Singham on October 18. Led by Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor, the film originally hit the screens in 2011.

On Friday, Rohit Shetty dropped Singham’s poster on Instagram announcing its re-release. The picture showcases Ajay Devgn in his iconic Bajirao Singham character. Dressed in a police uniform and wearing black-tinted sunglasses, the actor can be seen exhibiting a grim expression while displaying a hand gesture. The side note read, “BEFORE HE COMES WITH HIS FULL FORCE ON DIWALI! Experience how it all began again. Experience the mass again. Experience the euphoria again. Experience SINGHAM once more before SINGHAM AGAIN! Re-Releasing in cinemas on 18th October."

Film enthusiasts flocked to the comments section reacting to the announcement. A fan revealed that he was going to watch Singham’s “First-day first show". Echoing a similar sentiment, another wrote, “Bajirao Singham gonna watch it on the big screen." “Double Dhamaka. We are seated for Singham Re-release and Singham Again on Diwali," read a remark. Others dropped multiple fire and heart emojis, expressing their excitement.

Singham Again’s trailer was unveiled on October 7. The video is embedded with several references from Ramayana, presenting the good vs evil ideology. As the trailer progresses, it is revealed that Kareena Kapoor is abducted by a menacing Arjun Kapoor. Just like in Ramayana, Ajay Devgn’s Bajirao Singham embarks on a mission to rescue Kareena with his fearless army — Veer Sooryavanshi (Akshay Kumar), Sangram “Simmba" Bhalerao (Ranveer Singh), Shakti Shetty (Deepika Padukone) and Tiger Shroff.
