Adah Sharma has left everyone shocked with her ‘Rs 15 ki saree’. No, we are not joking. On Tuesday afternoon, the actress was snapped by the paparazzi in Mumbai when she was seen posing in an orange and white saree. Needless to say, Adah looked prettiest when some of the shutterbugs complimented her and asked about her saree.
Adah Sharma shared that the saree belonged to her grandmother and shocked everyone by revealing that she had purchased it for Rs 15 only. “This is actually Rs 15,” Adah said. When one of the paps expressed shock by saying “oh”, the actress added, “This is Nani ji’s saree. She got it years back. Since it belongs to Nani, you cannot put a price on it. Adah Sharma has been a part of the showbiz world for over 15 years now. She has been a part of several movies including 1920 and Hasee Toh Phasee. Last year, the actress ruled headlines and grabbed everyone’s attention after she starred in Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s The Kerala Story.
In a recent exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, Adah recalled how the box office performance of The Kerala Story nudged the ‘small film’ into becoming a massive one. “When I was doing The Kerala Story, my director told me that it’s a small, intimate film being made for film festivals and that it may not be meant for a big release,” she said.
“And still I gave it my all without thinking if ten people would watch it or millions. Now people say that it’s a big A-list film but when we were making it, I don’t know what list we were in,” the actress added.
