Actor Mohanlal Offers Prayers At Udupi's Kolluru Shri Mookambika Devi Temple

Malayalam superstar, Mohanlal recently took a break from his busy schedule and visited the famous Kolluru Shri Mookambika Devi Temple in Udupi, Kerala. This temple is often frequented by many celebrities. The actor offered a special pooja there and a glimpse of this has surfaced on the internet.

The Neru actor along, with his friend Ramanandan, offered prayers at the revered temple. Mohanlal was seen attending the temple’s very important Chandika Yagam. He also participated in the Maha Mangal Aarti in the morning and meditated for some time in the temple. A huge crowd of Mohanlal’s fans had gathered near the premises of the temple who wanted to see their favourite star and take selfies or record videos with him.

Apart from being a prolific actor, Mohanlal is also a producer, playback singer, film distributor and director. He has acted in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi films. He marked his acting debut in 1978 with the movie Thiranottam, which was produced and made by Mohanlal and his friends- Maniyanpilla Raju, Suresh Kumar, Unni, Priyadarshan, Ravi Kumar and a few others. However, due to objections from the censor board, the movie was released after a long gap. His next movie was released in 1980, where he was cast in the lead antagonist role in the movie Manjil Virinja Pookkal.

Mohanlal has worked in more than 400 movies and has starred in movies like Padayottam, where he worked with Mammootty for the first time; T. P. Balagopalan M.A, for which he won Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor; Vanaprastham, for which he earned his first National Film Award for Best Actor, Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag, Tezz and Jailer to name a few.

In 1986, Mohanlal delivered back-to-back 34 movies in a row and broke many records. Out of the 34 movies, 25 of them proved to be huge hits at the box office. He was last seen in the 2024 movie Malaikottai Vaaliban, directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery. He has Barroz, Kannappa, L2: Empuraan, Ram: Part 1 and Vrushabha in the pipeline.
