Just over two months ago, B-town beauty Priyanka Chopra was at the receiving end of a troll storm over a picture of her meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Berlin.
The Baywatch star, who had met the PM wearing a knee-length midi dress, was trolled on social media for her 'not-so-sanskari' attire.
And now, Priyanka's mother Madhu Chopra has opened up on what the Prime Minister thought of the actress's outfit. In an interview to a leading daily, Madhu said the protocol officer did not find anything wrong with Priyanka's outfit and that they even received an official communication later from him saying the Prime Minister "had no issue with it".
She was also quoted as saying, "Her neckline was right up to her jaw, her hands were covered. They met in the lobby before she was to go for a Baywatch promotional event. She couldn't have pleaded with the PM to give her two minutes to change into a sari."
Priyanka's mother said the trolls "diluted" the whole intent of the meeting.
Madhu added her daughter is someone who plans her looks and dresses well in advance and that she "never steps out of her room unless she is dressed right".
