Mumbai: Filmmaker Yash Chopra, who passed away on October 21, had finished shooting his last directorial venture 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan', except for a song. And the song was to be shot in Switzerland, a country whose scenic beauty has been the backdrop of so many of Chopra's films.
He was slated to travel to Switzerland this month, when dengue fever forced him to get admitted to a hospital here on October 13. The song would be now either shot by Chopra's elder son Aditya, or it won't be shot at all, sources close to the filmmaker said.
"We were to go to the Swiss Alps to shoot a song with Katrina (Kaif) in chiffon saris. He discussed the saris with passion and used to tell me that 'I want you to be there at the shoot'," tweeted Malhotra. Malhotra, who gave his contemporary touch to the looks of Chopra's actresses in films like 'Dil To Pagal Hai' and 'Veer-Zaara', says he would miss him immensely.
"I will truly miss my most favourite director and incredible person that Yashji was... I knew him closely and have seen his passion for cinema, colours and costumes. Romance in Indian cinema won't be the same without Yashji," he wrote.
Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma starrer 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' will hit the screens on November 13, 2012.
