Omar said that the new employment policy would give birth to a new generation of entrepreneurs.

Kishtwar (JK): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday said his government has focused on improving the employability of youth so that they are easily absorbed in open job market.

"The government has establishment many new colleges, polytechnics, ITIs and university campuses which would help students to upgrade their skills," he told a public gathering in Kishtwar, about 230 km from Jammu.

Omar said the Sher-e-Kashmir Employment Welfare Policy for Youth initiative and introduction of new subjects of modern relevance in ITIs and polytechnics would give birth to a new generation of entrepreneurs.

He said transfer of powers from administration to common people by establishment of a powerful panchayat system in the state is aimed at cultivating good work culture and giving impetus to the equitable development in the state.

Implementation of Public Service Guarantee Act and strengthening of RTI Act and Accountability Commission are other measures taken to bring transparency in the functioning of government departments.
