New Delhi: The Hindi film industry has indeed travelled a long way when it comes to marketing strategies for films. 'RA.One' and some Aamir Khan films have done this in the past and now it's the turn of 'The Dirty Picture' to start the marketing campaign in style.
The makers of the film have decided to launch the audio of the keenly awaited movie at a free for all public event.
The makers of 'The Dirty Picture' have invited the public at large to attend the event with friends and family to kick off a 'dirty' weekend.
To be held on Friday, 4th November from 6pm at The Inorbit Mall (Malad), the dazzling show will recreate the colourful 80's era and feature live performances by the film's stars and singers.
Vidya Balan will dance to the 'Ooh la la' number with other artists at the music launch. "Vidya, Emraan Hashmi, Naseeruddin Shah, Tusshar Kapoor, Bappi Lahiri and Shreya Ghoshal will perform at the event live," Girish Johar, head of acquisition and distribution, Balaji Motion Pictures, told us.
Bappi Lahiri and Shreya Ghoshal will render the chart-busting 'Ooh La La' while Kamal Khan will croon the romantic Ishq Sufiyana. The film's star cast will be performing to these hits for a live audience.
The film is a biopic on yesteryear's famous south Indian actress Silk Smitha. Directed by Milan Luthria, the star cast of the film includes Vidya Balan, Naseeruddin Shah, Emraan Hashmi and Tusshar Kapoor.
