Unless Amma speaks, man wont: KCR

HYDERABAD: It is unfortunate that the country has a prime minister who does not understand the seriousness of the Telangana agitation, Telangana Rashtra Samiti president and Mahaboobnagar MP K Chandrasekhara Rao has remarked.Speaking at a demonstration organised by the Progressive organisation of Women (POW) at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on Monday, the TRS chief said that the prime minister did not say anything on Telangana because he did not have voice. “Unless Amma speaks, he would not speak,” Rao said.Rao said that even the Lok Sabha attenders had a better understanding of the Telangana movement than the prime minister had. “Whenever I enter the House, the attenders would shout `Jai Telangana’. They keep telling me that the agitation I was leading was just and one day I would reach the destination. But the prime minister does not appear to have even that much of awareness of the movement in Telangana,” he said. Party MP Vijayashanthi said if the Congress did not form Telangana state now, people would bury it in the 2014 elections. “The Congress may get away without announcing Telangana now but it cannot escape the 2014 elections,” she said.POW leader Sandhya wondered why the Congress and the TDP had promised  Telangana in their election manifestoes but were dragging their feet now. “Is it because they only wanted to use the Telangana issue to garner votes at elections without really bothering to address the issue,” she said.
