New Delhi: After being promised new houses by the Maharashtra Housing and Development Authority, Slumdog Millionaire child actors Rubina Qureshi and Mohammed Azharuddin are now headed to the United Kingdom.
The two actors have been reportedly invited by the British Parliament on the June 30. Rubina and Azhar will also be honoured there. The Indian government has conveyed the message to them and their visas are being processed.
Meanwhile, Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle who propelled real life slum dwellers Azharuddin Ismail and Rubina Ali into international fame, has asked the media to leave the child stars alone.
The British director believes that the constant media attention is ruining the young children's lives and has pleaded that Rubina,9 and Azhar,10 be left in peace to lead a normal life, reported Daily Telegraph online.
