A blast at a chemical factory in Maharashtra’s Raigad left two people dead and four injured on Thursday. Five fire tenders have rushed to the spot and efforts to douse the flame are underway. The incident occurred at 11.15 am at Sadhana Nitro Chem Limited, located in the Dhatav MIDC area of Roha town, approximately 110 km from Mumbai.
According to a TOI report, Superintendent of Police Somnath Gharge said, “The blast occurred in the storage tank of the chemical plant. Two employees working at the storage tank were killed, and four others nearby sustained burn injuries.”
In May 2024, ten people lost their lives and over 60 others sustained injuries after a major fire erupted following a boiler explosion at a chemical factory in Dombivli, Thane district, Maharashtra.
