Two arrested for murder

BANGALORE: The Kadugodi police have arrested two persons on charges of murdering their friend. The accused have been identified as Sadiq Sheikh (22) and Azharuddin Sheikh (23).They are accused of murdering their friend Fiazuddin Sheikh (20) on July 25. Both the victim and the duo accused were doing plaster-of-Paris works in Mumbai.According to the police, the three had checked into a room of Sai Palace Lodge and on July 25 the police were informed by the lodge management that a person had committed suicide in the room by hanging himself.The police went through the details the three had given when they had checked in to the lodge.In the register, they had given a Mumbai address and mobile phone numbers.Based on that, a police team was sent to Mumbai and in coordination with the local police, they arrested the accused duo."On interrogating the accused revealed that the victim had illicit relationship with, one of the accused, Azharuddin's wife. The victim had also taken a contract of some works without bringing it to the notice of the accused. Enraged by this, the accused planned to eliminate him and brought him to the lodge, where they made him consume alcohol and strangulated him with a rope. Later, they tied him to a window grill in the bathroom to mislead the investigation by making it look like a suicide," the police added.
