Turning up the heat with Rock and Roll
Fahrenheit entertained the audience at Hard Rock Cafe with some insane covers and original numbers..

BANGALORE: Hard Rock Cafe had a dose of it own medicine when Fahrenheit turned on the heat Thursday evening with some beautiful covers and original numbers. Perfecting the covers, the band took the crowd to the good old days of rock and roll. The band started their performance with an original composition called Again which was followed by two more original numbers. But, it was their cover of Bon Jovi, that made the crowd loosen up for the evening. Switching from classic rock to trash metal, the band covered Metallica’s No Leaf Clover to get them pumping. To give a break from the lyrics the band also performed an instrumental called Beneath the Sunrise. After mesmerising the crowd with some insane guitar skills, the band got them back to reality with their original composition Trinity Circle — a song that describes various traffic issues faced by Bangaloreans. When others were tuning their instruments, the drummer couldn’t keep quiet, he performed a drum solo, with some heavy beats syncing with Dappanguthu  rhythm. While the crowd were jugging their beer, the band performed the legendary song by ACDC Highway to Hell. The band proved their worth again by performing their original number Apocalyptic Ignorance. The song is comparatively heavier than their other numbers and filled with great keyboard notes and few mind-blowing guitar solos. The band covered the song of all generations including Coming Back to life by Pink Floyd. This cover did prove that the band has talent and is on the journey to become one of the best bands in the country. After bringing the crowd back to life, they covered Rock and Roll by Led Zepplin, followed by Hallow Be Thy Name by Iron Maiden and ended the performance with Burn by Deep Purple. The band had put up a great show for all the rock and roll fans in the house that night.Fahrenheit is a six piece band that consists of Akshay on vocals, Edward on guitar, Geeth on guitar, Vimyl on drums, Ryan on Keyboard and Jason on Bass. The band started as a college band from a reputed college in the city. Vimyl said, “We started the band in college around ten years ago. Initially, the band was formed because we wanted to take part in various college fests. We didn’t stop there. We had our few changes in our line up and now, we are looking forward to release our first album sometime soon.” This progressive rock/metal band have also been placed at the top spot in the South Zone Finals at Delhi Rock Idol. Vimyl said, “We add all our expressions, emotions and thoughts into our music. Unlike other bands, who speak about death or love, we write our lyrics based on our experiences. For us music is something we can’t live without, I request the city, to keep the love for rock and roll alive.”
