Trophies, mementos presented to winners

KOCHI: Trophies and mementos to the winners of various leagues and tournaments conducted by the Ernakulam District Cricket Association were given away at the Annual General Meeting of the association held at the EDCA office, Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium, here on Wednesday.Arun Poulose of Cordiant Sports Foundation won the Didi Memorial Trophy for taking highest number of scores in the ‘A’ division league.Special awards were presented to Prasanth Parameswaran, Robert Fernandez and Vinoop Manoharan for excellence and bringing glory to Ernakulam. S Sreesanth, who is away in England with Team India, was also named for a special award.Former international umpire S Dandapani, who retired from umpiring recently, was felicitated.  The winners:A-division: BPCL Kochi Refinery received the Kelappan Thampuran Memorial Trophy and B M Hegde Memorial TrophyB-division: Muthoot ECC-B received the Subramania Iyer Memorial TrophyC-division: Scorpions CC received the EDCA TrophyD-division: Friends CC received the Kanavillil Parameswara Menon Memorial TrophyJunior League: Century Cricket Academy received the NSK Memorial TrophyKTR Varma Memorial Tournament: BPCL Kochi Refinery
