Baghdad The trial of deposed Iraqi president, Saddam Hussein, and seven others on charges of crimes against humanity was adjourned until Tuesday.

The chief judge adjourned the court after a highly charged session in which Saddam, his former interior minister and their lawyers aggressively attacked the testimony of two witnesses, which they called lies.

Earlier, the chief judge said the trial was adjourned until Wednesday.
