BHADRAK: Confusion rules Basudevpur Child Development Project Office with two officers at the helm of affairs. Reports said ABDO Suresh Chandra Satpathy was posted as in-charge Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) on December 5 while his predecessor Geetarani Rout was on leave till December 9. Rout was transferred on December 3.Meanwhile, Rout joined office on the same day having obtained a stay on her transfer. “I had dispatched copies of the court order to the Collector, Sub-Collector, BDO and District Social Welfare Officer,” Rout said.Satpathy, however, is still continuing as the in-charge CDPO. “I have to continue in the post till further orders from the department,” he said. Meanwhile, the goof-up is hampering work in the office and the worst-hit are the anganwadi centres.Sub-Collector Ramachandra Palta said Satpathy is the present in-charge CDPO of Basudevpur. Women and Integrated Child Development Department has been intimated about the stay order on the transfer of Rout, he added.
