CHENNAI: DMK MP TR Baalu has moved the Madras High Court to quash a notice dated May 31 last of the Chennai Corporation Commissioner directing him to vacate his camp office on Thyagaraya Road at T Nagar within 15 days.Justice R Sudhakar, before whom the petition from Baalu came up for hearing today, posted the matter for further hearing on Tuesday (June 21) with a direction to both the parties to furnish the correct address of the camp office. According to Baalu, the Corporation allotted an office at T Nagar, after he was elected from the South Chennai Lok Sabha constituency in 2006. He was re-elected as MP from Sriperumbudur Lok Sabha constituency in the elections held in 2009. He was permitted to use T Nagar office as camp office. However, after the AIADMK came to power, all of a sudden on My 31 last, the Corporation issued the notice asking him to vacate the premises within 15 days. He contended that the notice was politically motivated. It was issued with ulterior motives and it was an act of vindictiveness.
