Themes rule Dhenkanal Laxmi Puja mandaps

DHENKANAL: People in large numbers are thronging a pandal to see Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev on fast against corruption. They are accompanied by both Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi. This is the scene at the Baji Chhak Laxmi puja pandal.At Mahavir Bazaar, a pandal shows Goddess Laxmi entering the house of a ‘Chandaluni’ which is objected to by other deities. Themes like these dot the town with the puja committees leaving no stone unturned to celebrate the occasion in a grand manner. Pandals have come up at Bazi Chhak, Chowhar Chhak, Laxmi Bazaar, Mahavir Bazaar and Bus Stand. Eye-catching illuminated gates adds colour to the  festivity.
