THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Prisons Department is organising the tenth state-level seminar on ‘Correctional administration’ on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the State Institute of Correctional Administration at Poojappura. Transport Minister V S Sivakumar will inaugurate the seminar. A paper on ‘Modernisation and reformation in Kerala Prisons - Expenditure of ` 166 crore’ will be presented by the heads of institutions of South Zone. The seminar will be held from 11 am to 5 pm. Heads of Institutions of North Zone will discuss the topic on Friday between 9.30 am and 5 pm. The heads of institutions of Central Zone will present their papers on Saturday between 9.30 am and 5 pm. Secretary of Finance Department V P Joy will deliver the presidential address at the valedictory function at 5 pm on Saturday.
