A single judge at the Madurai Bench of the High Court on Monday granted bail to three officials of the Tamil Nadu Minerals Limited (TAMIN) and the managing director of Olympus Granites, in the illegal granite quarrying case.
The petitioners alleged that they have been made “scapegoats in the politically sensitive case.”
Apart from their confession, there were the statements of the witnesses and an inspection report to prove their involvement in the crime, the State said.
Justice T Mathivanan pronounced an order granting bail to the three officials. Bail was also granted to Balasubramanian, the Managing Director of Olympus Granites.
