The routine raids were conducted in five dairies and an unspecified number of milk packets with manufacturing date mentioned as "25.6.2015" instead of today's date seized from one of them at Krishnampalayam in Erode, District Food Safety Officer Karunanidhi told reporters.
Officials also collected milk samples from the five dairies and these would be sent to a laboratory in neighbouring Coimbatore to check for adulteration, he said.
He said such raids were conducted regularly by the department to prevent adulteration.
