The crime branch arrested her following a tip-off by the Chhattisgarh police.
New Delhi: A suspected Maoist, Soni Sodi, was on Tuesday arrested by the crime branch from New Delhi, following a tip-off by the Chhattisgarh police.
Sodi is believed to be a Naxal sympathiser and is wanted in the Essar Protection Money Case.
The 36-year-old has as many as four arrest warrants against her.
There are reports on her being in Jaipur before coming to the national capital.
On Monday, the police had raided PUCL member Kavita Srivastava's house in Jaipur on suspicions that she was shielding Sodi.
According to the police, Sodi was accompanying Lingaram when contractor D K Lala paid Rs 15 lakh on behalf of Essar. Lingaram was arrested right then while Soni had gone into hiding.
