BANGALORE: Karnataka State Primary School Teachers Association (KSPSTA) is organising a state-level seminar for all teachers on July 28 at 11 pm at Palace Ground, Mekhri Circle.The event will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa. The association will put forth few demands to be fulfilled. The main objectives of the seminar includes better education, modernising government schools, all round development and some other academic issues.Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri, minister for primary and secondary education will be the chief guest of the event. The other guests of honour during the morning session are Jagadish Shettar (Minister of Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Rural Water Supply and Sanitation), R Ashok (Minister for Home and Transport), V Somanna (Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs), Shobha Karandlaje (Minister for Energy), A Narayana Swamy (Minister for Social Welfare excluding Minorities Welfare), DB Chandre Gowda (Lok Sabha Member for Bangalore North) and PC Mohan (Lok Sabha Member for Bangalore Central).The guests of honor during the evening session are Siddaramaiah H (current leader of the opposition of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly), HD Revanna (JDS leader), former minister Ramachandra Gowda and Mottamma (Opposition leader of Vidhana Parishad).The Association has made a request to all the teachers of Karnataka state Primary schools to participate in the event and to make it a grand success.Teachers who will be participating in the seminar will be granted leave from their respective schools during the course of the event.
