Sobha Johns ally taken into custody

KOCHI: The Special Investigation Team probing  the Varapuzha sex scam on Monday took Abdul Sathar of Kasargod, the seventh accused in Sabarimala Thantri case, into custody from Kochi. The probe team would be quizzing his involvement in the sex scam. Sathar has been a close ally of Sobha John and Bachu Rahman. It is learnt that Sathar has acted as the agent in the sex scam as per the directives of Sobha John. The police took him into custody when he was coming out of the District Sessions Court, Ernakulam, with his advocate K K Sathish after the trial proceedings.  He is currently on bail in the controversial Sabarimala Thantri Case. He will be interrogated for the next two days. The arrest will be recorded only after the police get an evidence about his involvement in the case.
