KOZHIKODE: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by ADGP Vincent M Paul probing the latest revelations in the ice-cream parlour sex scandal case held its review meeting in Kozhikode on Wednesday. It is learnt that the team has decided to take the statement of Industries Minister P K Kunhalikutty, the first accused in the case, that was registered based on the revelations of K A Rauf, co-brother of Kunhalikutty.However, ADGP Vincent M Paul refused to disclose the details of the meeting stating that there was strict order from the court to not divulge information regarding the investigation. Kannur SP Anoop Kuruvilla John, Thrissur City Police Commissioner P Vijayan, Thamarassery DySP Jaison K Abraham and DySP A Venugopal attended. The case was registered during the period of the previous LDF government based on the allegations including bribing the main witnesses in the case to secure withdrawal of allegations against Kunhalikutty, conspiracy to scuttle the case, securing false medical reports, preparation of bogus affidavits, alteration of Kunhalikutty’s tour diary and attempts to influence two judges of the HC to scuttle the sex scandal case. Rauf was questioned six times by the investigating team and he might be grilled on Thursday also
