TDP MLA and Telangana TDP Forum (TDF)convener E Dayakar Rao on Saturday demanded that the state government should ‘force’ the Centre to convene a meeting of the chief ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra for resolving the Babli project controversy before September 18, when the issue will come up for hearing in the Supreme Court.
Addressing a press conference along with TDP leader E Peddireddy at the party office here on Saturday, he said that both the central and the state governments were responsible for the delay. “PM Manmohan Singh had several times given assurances of resolving the issue, but he failed to make it happen,” Rao said.
