BANGALORE: Rotary International Club District 3190 will conduct Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) for 9th and 10th standard students on August 18, at various government and aided schools spread all over Bangalore. It will cover more than 25,000 students along with 5,00 trainers who had been trained to conduct the programme.RYLA is a personality development programme and it imbibes leadership quality, ethics, communication skills, self-esteem and self confidence. The empowering programme, especially for the underprivileged children studying in 9th and 10th standard, who faced many socio-economic problems, will start at 9.30 am and conclude by 3.30 pm followed by valedictory function.The sessions include communication skills, articulating dreams, group discussions role plays and interactive games. The entire event is to create a positive attitude and winning spirit among the participants. The programme is designed to be conducted in different government-aided schools spread all over the city.In each room maximum of 50 students will be accommodated and there will be one or two trainers conducting the programme. The mega RYLA will be conducted simultaneously for all students and being done with cooperation of the Education Department, Govt of Karnataka.
