Rights panel hails decision to hike salary

KOCHI: The Human Rights Commission has welcomed the Kerala Government’s decision to raise the salary scale of the teachers of CBSE schools to those of government teachers. The Commission also said that similar steps must be taken in the case of other staff of the CBSE schools. “Ensuring job security and decent salary for the unorganised woman workers of CBSE schools is the responsibility of state and central governments”, the district president of Ernakulam State Human Rights Foundation T K Azeez and tresurer Stanley Paulose said in a statement.  The district committee has decided to approach the State Human Rights Commission and other authorities concerned to take steps in this direction.
