Not that I'm a raving desh bhakt but I feel proud of my national anthem that was penned so beautifully. One of my friends even fought with a guy who kept whistling while the anthem was being played and asked the usher to throw and requesting him to stop, dont stand if you dont want to or feel like, but dont ridicule the anthem simply because you dont feel like. What is so taxing on your leg muscles that you never stand when the national anthem is played? That question has boggled my mind and really irritated me everytime I look at people happily walking past or finding their seats or worse munch their popcorns, when the national anthem is played in Mumbai cinema halls before the film actually starts. I mean what is so cool about not standing and respecting the anthem, what is cool about being seated as if its quite a task to stand quietly and for 53 seconds listen to the words that is an ode to our nation?
