KOCHI: Aluva-based recruiting agency, Arvind Human Resource Management, has filed a complaint with the Chief Minister alleging that the company incurred huge losses owing to the lackadaisical attitude of the officials of the state’s Special Branch. The agency had undertaken a recruitment drive for the Kuwait Oil Company on the May 24. The interview was advertised well before hand and around 200 candidates from various parts of the state reported for the interview which was scheduled to be held at the Shah International Hotel, Kollam. Though the rooms were booked and other arrangements made, the hotel management prevented the agency from conducting the interview at the last moment. The management alleged that the agency had not received the permission from the city police commissioner to conduct the interviews. The company said that they had submitted all the documents from the various departments including the Thiruvananthapuram Emigration Office and the Indian Embassy in Kuwait to the Kollam Special Branch. But the officers refused to grant them the permission leading to huge losses for the company as well for the candidates who had arrived from various places.
