President to inaugurate Indian Science Congress

New Delhi: President Pranab Mukherjee will inaugurate 100th session of the Indian Science Congress in Kolkata on Thursday during his two-day visit to West Bengal.

Mukherjee on Wednesday left for his home state. He will inaugurate the 100th session of the Indian Science Congress at Kolkata on Thursday, a Rashtrapati Bhavan press release said.

The focal theme for the event is 'Science for shaping the Future of India'. Plenary sessions and special lectures in cutting edge areas will be held from January 3 to 7, the release said.
