Now, that the first look of Dibakar Banerjee's 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshy' is out, many are busy drawing comparisons between actors Sushant Singh Rajput, Rajit Kapur and Sujyoy Ghosh. Those who came in late, Sushant Singh Rajput plays Byomkesh, a popular fictional character which was formed by famous Bengali writer Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay, in Dibakar's much-awaited film. According to reports, the film is based on one of the 33 crime thrillers by Sharadindu Bandopadhyay.

Since Rajit was the first actor to play the iconic detective in the television series, the impact he left was indelible. Nonetheless, Kahaani's award winning director Sujay's depiction was also applauded. Will Sushant be able to live up to the viewers' expectations and win plaudits for his role in the film?
