Mumbai: Overcoming obstacles is not new for this 21-year-old. Wheel-chair bound Radha Roy is in the spotlight for the song she's sung in the new Salman Khan-starrer Kyonki.

Like hundreds of girls her age, Radha is a die-hard fan of Bollywood actor Salman Khan. A music enthusiast, Radha landed an opportunity to sing a song for the soundtrack of Salman's new film Kyonki after a chance meeting with the actor.

"Salman heard my song, liked my voice and then referred me to some big music directors. Amongst them was Himesh Reshammiya who liked my voice and called me for an audition, thats how I got the track of Kyunki," Radha said.

Born and raised in Kolkata, Radha moved to Mumbai two years ago for medical treatment of a muscular condition. She may be wheel chair bound, but Radha doesn't like to talk about her handicap as she does not want work out of mercy.

The song in Kyonki has brought her into the spotlight, and Radha is hopeful that more work will come her way.

Overcoming the odds and emerging successful is not new for Radha who sings despite her cleft palate. Like they say, where there's a will, there's always a way.
